"Everyone has the exact love life they want"

After watching 'The Wedding Date' the other day a line from the movie really seemed to make an influence on me.

"Everyone has the exact love life they want"

Is this true?

So that means that my singe girlfriends are still single because they want to be like that. Some of my friends have been looking for the right guy for a long time and have been unsucessful. All they have met are the odd one-night-stand and someone that they are seeing. No one that has stayed around long enough for me to meet. Is this because, for some reason, they are turning these men away?Have they got their guard up so bad that they are influenced by everything the man does?
If He hasn't rung that day or text the last couple of days then there must be something wrong...right?

Wrong

Speaking from someone who is in a relationship, I believe these single ladies are gorgeous, strong, independant women who have no time or effort to have a man in their lives, albeit I didn't have time either when my boyfriend came along in the most unlikely of circumstances.

The first time I watched 'The Wedding Date' I saw how the female protagonist was still hung up on her ex throughout the past couple of years of being single. Her life had just been an underachieving, stressful, boring blur. This cannot be said of my girlfriends at all!
I know they are focusing all their energies on their career right now as we have only been graduated a year and it is tough work getting out legs under the table.

In my friendship circle, this has been the year to get a boyfriend, live together and go on holiday together. I think this is why my single friends might find it so... weird. We were always together at University. We say each other everyday. We rung each other everyday. Don't get me wrong we are still like that. We talk everyday but the talking maybe through BBM or texting. And seeing each other has drizzled down to a mere once a week. We hardly EVER go nightclubbing!I don't like it but everyone seems to have different priorities now.

I never know what to say when a single friend is upset about a man. I do not know why I have one and they don't. It isn't as simple as that otherwise everyone would be in a relationship if they wanted to be. My single friends are beautiful people but perhaps they give off a certain aura which makes men not want to approach them. They do approach them though that is the thing! They all have no trouble pulling men on nights out or even getting a stare in the daytime. As I said, they are gorgeous! They ooze self confidence and glamour but is it something deeper than that that men can pick up on?

I don't know.

All I say is... 'the right man will come along when you are ready'
